The next CWR/Lives of Colour Book Group is on Tuesday 5 October 2021, 7:30pm on Zoom.
The book this month is Three Hours, by Rosamund Lupton, and it’s a thriller!
Set in rural Somerset, in the middle of a blizzard, a school is under siege. From the wounded headmaster in the library, unable to help his trapped pupils and staff, to teenage Hannah in love for the first time, to the parents gathering desperate for news, to the 16 year old Syrian refugee trying to rescue his little brother, to the police psychologist who must identify the gunmen, to the students taking refuge in the school theatre, all experience the most intense hours of their lives, where evil and terror are met by courage, love and redemption.
Join us to discuss it, 7:30pm on 5 October!

CWR are participating in Cheltenham Literature Festival’s “Lit Crawl” on Saturday October 9th! Look out for more information as plans for the event come together.
Perhaps you’re planning to attend some of the events at this year’s literature festival that tie in with books we’ve read this year? Bernadine Evaristo is a big presence at this year’s festival, Elif Shafak is back, and we’ve also spotted Nikesh Shukla – editor of our very first book group pick, The Good Immigrant. Maybe we’ll see you there!
