In celebration of National Refugee Week, and all the contributions that different cultures make to our society, Cheltenham Welcomes Refugees is offering an opportunity to learn to cook some Syrian dishes!
Hanan Khsara makes the snacks for our Open Meetings, and runs a flourishing stall at the monthly Food Market on the Promenade making delicious date cakes, shwarma, and falafel.
On Thursday 21st June, she'll be demonstrating how to make some of her favourite meals and snacks from 4.30 till 6.00 in the kitchens of the Sober Parrot on St James Square - a vibrant, welcoming, and open-atmosphere dry bar at the heart of Cheltenham.
All ingredients are provided – have a fun afternoon cooking, and take home your creations to share afterwards.
